Bashers British Double

Jorunas (Basher) Gorelcenka, just recently back from taking silver in Finland for the England youth team,  blew everyone away, taking double gold in Edinburgh this weekend at the British open.  After blitzing through kata in a 4 round win to become British Kata champion in Boys 10 year category, Basher found himself sent up a category for Kumite, weighing in at 1 kg over the limit.  Finding himself the younger and smallest in this 10-11 year category, Basher fought through some tough rounds to take the double and become British open champion also in kumite.  Of course the credit goes to Basher who shows  huge amount of commitment to training, however a large amount of credit must also go to his supportive family and coach Sensei Tony Solley of DSK, proving that the quality of coaching at DSK in botg disciplines is as high of a standard as ever. Well done Basher from us

all.
